My family migrated to the U.S. from China when I was 12. When we first got here, things were tough and it took me a long while to adapt to this new place. I’ve always wanted to create some guides to help fellow immigrants. So in summer 2016, I got my friend Yuteng on board and we made a website that guides fellow immigrants. We interviewed many fellow immigrant friends and wrote out the first draft of contents. We then learned HTML & CSS from scratch, coded out the website and launched it. It was rather a passive approach but a good starting point. We looked forward to engage in some more active approaches and better ways to help in the future.
