Entrepreneurship

Tech and Entrepreneurship

I have always been interested in entrepreneurship, probably because I am an adventurous type of person and also care much about making meaningful impact.

In modern day, more and more problems are no longer constrained by technology. Take the world hunger problem for example. The technology for massive food production has become matured enough that the total food production can meet the daily needs of every person in the world. Yet 10% of the world population still suffer hunger every day, primarily because the root of this problem is grounded in politics, economics and social. How to resolve these problems and how to leverage technology and entrepreneurship to accelerate the solving of these problems are what we are facing nowadays. I am fortunate to be born and raised in this era. Seeing more and more attempts and innovations, I am optimistic and urge to find out what the future lies ahead.

Most recently, I read Eric Ries’s book “The Lean Startup” twice in a row. It is a really great book that provides the framework to create valuable product/service and the know-how to test hypothesis scientifically. I took some notes as shown below and would recommend anyone interested in entrepreneurship to pause for a day on they are doing and read it.
