"Catch Me" Mouse

Overview

"Catch Me" Mouse is a cute robot mouse that would normally displays “CATCH ME ☺” in the LED dot matrix and would run away and display “NO! > . <” when you are trying to catch it.

I took “ECE 3140 Embedded Systems” in Spring 2017. At the end of the semester, students were teamed up in groups of two to build any final project with the FRDM-K64F board. My partner Wenhan wanted to play with LED dot matrix and I wanted to play with robots. We both knew for sure that we wanted to make something cute and fun, so we created a "Catch Me" Mouse, a project that integrated cute product design and fun with electronics.

The mouse appearance was made with Angelia's DIY Polyester Felt Nonwoven Fabric Sheet, and the moving bottom chassis was hacked and borrowed from a Lamborghini RC Toy Car.
